0A.1X.1F

Massey Ferguson 0A.1X.1F – Mid Mount Valve Module: External Hydraulic Valve 1 Issue

Issue description

Malfunction in the first external hydraulic remote valve (spool valve) circuit. Typically flagged as a connection problem on the hydraulic valve or an out-of-range value coming from the spool position sensor.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness leading to External Hydraulic Valve 1 for chafed wires, loose connections, or corrosion inside the connector

  2. Use a multimeter or diagnostic interface to monitor the live voltage of the spool position sensor to verify if it is reading out of bounds (e.g., stuck at 0V or 5V) when actuated

  3. Verify that there is no CAN Bus communication loss between the Dash display and the Mid Mount Valve Module

Repair steps

  1. Depressurize the System

Turn off the tractor and actuate the hydraulic levers/switches to relieve any residual hydraulic pressure in the system before servicing the valve.

  2. Clean the Area

Thoroughly clean the external hydraulic valve block at the rear of the tractor to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

  3. Address Electrical Faults

If the diagnostic checks revealed a faulty spool position sensor or electric spool switch, disconnect the harness and unbolt the electronic actuator/switch assembly from the top of Spool Valve 1. Install the replacement electric spool switch.

  4. Address Mechanical/Seal Faults

If the valve is leaking or the solenoid is mechanically sticking, remove the solenoid valve cartridge. If rebuilding the valve block, use an OEM seal kit to replace the internal O-rings.

  5. Reassembly and Clearing Codes

Reconnect the hydraulic lines and electrical harnesses. Top off the hydraulic fluid if any was lost. Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.1X.1F DTC from the module's memory.

  6. Calibration

Cycle the hydraulic valve to ensure the Mid Mount Valve Module recognizes the new spool position sensor values.
