   Retrieve specific code

   Retrieve the specific code using a compatible diagnostic tool or interface device to confirm the fault is isolated to External Hydraulic Valve 2.

   Inspect wiring harness and connectors

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the External Hydraulic Valve 2 and the Mid Mount Valve Module for corrosion or breaks.

   Test spool position sensor

   Test the spool position sensor. If the sensor is providing erratic values, it must be replaced.

   Rebuild or replace spool valve

   If the electrical connections and sensors are intact, the mechanical spool valve or the spool valve controller itself may be failing and will require rebuilding (using an OEM repair kit) or complete replacement.
