Massey Ferguson 0A.20.26: External Hydraulic Valve 2 Issue

Issue description

Indicates a fault or malfunction detected within the second external hydraulic remote/spool valve circuit.

Retrieve and verify codes using a diagnostic tool to confirm the code and check for related spool position sensor codes (e.g., M17, M18, M19)
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors at External Hydraulic Valve 2 for connection problems or damage
Monitor the spool position sensor values via the diagnostic tool to determine if the valve is physically sticking or if the sensor has failed
Consult the OEM service manual for exact voltage and resistance specifications for the valve solenoids to test electrical integrity

Relieve hydraulic pressure
Relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system before beginning work.
Disconnect electrical connectors
Disconnect the electrical connectors to the affected spool valve.
Remove hydraulic lines
Remove the hydraulic hoses/lines connected to Valve 2.
Unbolt spool valve
Unbolt the faulty spool valve assembly from the hydraulic valve block.
Install replacement valve
Install the replacement valve, ensuring all O-rings and bonded seals (Dowty seals) are properly seated.
Reconnect lines and connectors
Reconnect the hydraulic lines and electrical connectors.
Test system
Test the system for leaks and proper operation.
