   Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connectors going to External Hydraulic Valve 2 for corrosion, backed-out pins, or wire chafing.

   Verify the spool position sensor on Valve 2 is reading correctly.

   Perform a swap test: swap the electrical connections or position sensors between Valve 1 and Valve 2 to see if the fault code changes to Valve 1 (0A.10.12). If the code follows the sensor/valve, the component is faulty.

   Relieve hydraulic pressure

   Relieve all hydraulic system pressure before servicing the valve block.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

   Disconnect electrical harness

   Disconnect the electrical harness from External Hydraulic Valve 2.

   Remove retaining bolts

   Remove the retaining bolts for the spool valve/solenoid assembly.

   Replace faulty component

   Replace the faulty spool valve, position sensor, or install a spool valve repair kit (depending on the exact point of failure).

   Reinstall valve

   Reinstall the valve, replace O-rings, and torque to OEM spec.

   Reconnect the harness, clear the DTCs via the dash or a diagnostic tool, and test hydraulic function.
