   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to External Hydraulic Valve 2 for corrosion, bent pins, or breaks

   Check the spool position sensor values using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to see if the sensor is reading out of range or failing to register movement

   Verify CAN bus communication between the tractor's Dash display and the Mid Mount Valve Module

   Retrieve and verify DTCs

   Retrieve and verify the active DTCs using a compatible diagnostic interface device.

   Locate valve

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2 (often part of the rear remote valve stack or mid-mount valve block).

   Clean and re-seat connector

   Disconnect the electrical connector to the valve's actuator and spool position sensor. Clean the contacts and re-seat the connector to rule out a simple connection problem.

   Evaluate sensor and actuator

   If the wiring is intact but the code persists, the spool position sensor or the valve actuator itself is likely faulty.

   Replace faulty components

   Replace the faulty spool position sensor or the entire External Hydraulic Valve 2 assembly.

   Clear the DTCs from the onboard diagnostic system and test the hydraulic remote for proper operation.
