   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the Dash/ECU to the Mid Mount Valve Module and External Hydraulic Valve 2. Look for connection problems.

   Verify the signal value of the spool position sensor on Valve 2, as sensor value discrepancies frequently trigger these specific alphanumeric codes.

   Check the switch on the mudguard for the hydraulics spool valve to ensure there is no signal voltage issue.

   Confirm fault code

   Connect a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic interface tool to the tractor to confirm code 0A.22.1B is active.

   Locate valve

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2 (usually the second remote spool valve block at the rear or mid-mount depending on configuration).

   Inspect connector

   Disconnect the electrical connector to the valve's solenoid/spool position sensor. Clean the contacts and check for corrosion or damaged pins.

   Test wiring continuity

   Test the wiring continuity between the valve connector and the Mid Mount Valve Module. Repair any breaks or shorts in the harness.

   Replace sensor or valve

   If the wiring is intact but the spool position sensor value remains out of range, the sensor or the entire electro-hydraulic spool valve assembly must be replaced.

   Install and clear DTCs

   Install the new valve/sensor, reconnect the harness, and use the diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs from the system.
