Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness, pins, and connectors leading to External Hydraulic Valve 2 for corrosion, moisture, or breaks
Check the spool position sensor on Valve 2 to ensure it is reading correctly and is not physically jammed or electrically shorted
Verify CANBUS communication between the dash/main controller and the valve module
Repair steps
Disconnect battery power
Disconnect battery power before servicing the hydraulic electrical connections.
Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2
Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2 at the rear remote stack (or mid-mount block, depending on tractor configuration).
Clean and reseat electrical connector
Clean and reseat the electrical connector to the valve's solenoid and spool position sensor.
Replace sensor or valve slice
If the wiring is intact but the spool position sensor value remains out of range, the sensor or the entire valve slice may need to be replaced.
Clear DTCs and verify
Clear the DTCs using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool and cycle the hydraulics to verify the fix.
