Massey Ferguson 0A.22.26 – Mid Mount Valve Module / Dash: External Hydraulic Valve 2 Issue

Malfunction in the second external hydraulic remote valve (spool valve). The underlying condition is typically a connection problem on the hydraulic valve, a failure of the spool position sensor, or an issue with the spool position sensor's value reading out of range.

   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve the active codes and freeze-frame data

   Check for physical connection problems on the hydraulic valve wiring harness, as connection drops are a primary trigger for this code

   Verify CAN bus communication between the Dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module

   Monitor the Spool Position Sensor value via the diagnostic tool to see if it is reading erratically or out of bounds

   Inspect and Clean

   Disconnect the electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 2. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and inspect for pushed pins, corrosion, or wire chafing. Reconnect and test.

   Test the Spool Position Sensor

   If the wiring is intact but the sensor value is still incorrect, the sensor or the pilot pressure control may be failing.

   Replace the Valve Slice

   If the internal sensor or solenoid has failed, the electric spool slice unit must be replaced.

   Programming & Calibration

   A newly installed electric spool slice must be programmed to the tractor. After programming, perform a valve calibration procedure using the dealer diagnostic tool.

   Clear Codes

   Clear the DTCs from the system and cycle the hydraulics to ensure the code does not return.
