Check the cause

  1. Verify the electrical connections on the hydraulic valve, as related codes explicitly point to connection problems on hydraulic valves.

  2. Check the spool position sensor values for Valve 2, as sensor value issues are a common trigger for these spool valve errors.

  3. Verify communication between the Dash and the Valve Module (Mid Mount or Rear) to ensure the CAN bus or wiring harness is not damaged.

Repair steps

  1. Retrieve code

Retrieve the code using a compatible diagnostic tool or interface device.

  2. Inspect and clean connector

Inspect and clean the wiring harness connector at External Hydraulic Valve 2.

  3. Test sensor

Test the spool position sensor for proper voltage/resistance.

  4. Replace components

Replace the sensor or the entire spool valve assembly if internal electrical/mechanical failure is confirmed.

  5. Clear DTCs

Clear the DTCs using the diagnostic tool after the repair is completed.

Parts you might need

(3)
  • External Hydraulic Valve 2 Assembly (Spool Valve)

  • Spool Position Sensor

if serviced separately from the valve

  • Hydraulic Valve Wiring Harness / Pigtail
