   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to External Hydraulic Valve 2 at the rear hydraulic block for corroded pins, loose connectors, or damaged wires

   Check the spool position sensor to ensure it is not faulty or out of calibration

   Locate the Valve

   Identify External Hydraulic Valve 2 (the second electric spool slice) on the rear hydraulic valve stack.

   Clean and Reconnect

   Disconnect the electrical harness to the valve's pilot pressure control and spool position sensor. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner, apply dielectric grease, and securely reconnect. Clear the code to see if it returns.

   Cable Inspection

   On models utilizing a spool valve cable (like the 6600, 6700, 7600, and 7700 series), inspect the cable for binding or stretching, which can prevent the valve from reaching the commanded position.

   Component Replacement

   If the wiring is intact but the valve fails to operate or report the correct position, the electric spool slice or the pilot pressure control unit must be replaced.

   Programming

   If replacing the entire Electric Spool Slice assembly, the new unit must be programmed/calibrated to the tractor's diagnostic system before it will function correctly.
