   Verify the hydraulic fluid (UTTO) level and condition. Dark, burnt, or milky fluid (indicating water contamination) requires an immediate fluid change.

   Ensure the hydraulic filter has been changed within the 300–500 hour service interval to prevent flow restriction.

   Check the external control valves, pressure accumulators, and quick couplers for external leaks.

   Inspect the wiring harness and solenoid connections at the #2 hydraulic valve for corrosion, damage, or loose fittings.

   Test the system pressure with a hydraulic gauge to rule out a failing hydraulic pump or a relief valve that is set too low.

   Relieve Pressure & Disconnect Power

   Relieve all hydraulic system pressure and disconnect the tractor's battery before servicing the valve block.

   Isolate Valve 2

   Locate the #2 external hydraulic remote valve (Bosch SB23 block) at the rear of the tractor and disconnect its electrical harness.

   Reseal vs. Replace

   If the valve is leaking or failing mechanically, use a specialized Spool Valve Replacement/Reseal Kit to reseal the leaking Bosch SB23 remote valve.

   Rebuild the Valve

   Remove the valve section, replace the internal seals/spool components according to the kit's instructions, and reinstall the valve block.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical harness and torque all hydraulic fittings to spec.

6. 6

   Fluid & Bleed

   Top off the system with OEM UTTO fluid. Bleed the system of air, as system aeration can cause spontaneous cylinder action and vibrations.

7. 7

   Clear Codes

   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.2X.23 DTC and test the remote valve operation. (Alternative Repair: Consider aftermarket conversions to direct electrical joystick control to bypass the factory electronics entirely).
