   Check Valve LEDs: Inspect the LED indicators directly on the electronic valves. Solid red indicates power, green indicates input to move, and flashing confirms the valve itself is detecting a fault.

   Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Check the wiring harness and connectors at Valve 3 for corrosion, damage, or loose pins.

   Check Power Supply: Confirm that all related fuses, relays, and battery voltages are stable.

   Mechanical Inspection: Look at the position of the external linkage and ensure the valves are returning to their center positions. Manually check the electronic spool valve solenoids and linkage pins to ensure they are not physically stuck or locking out.

   Access Autotronic Diagnostics: Verify codes in the Autotronic system via the dash (turn key on, push clutch in and release to clear right screen, then hold down the up arrow key to access left screen menu).

   Resolve Electrical Faults

   If corrosion or a broken wire is found at the Valve 3 connector, clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner or repair the damaged wiring harness section.

   Free Sticking Components

   If the spool valve detents or linkage pins are mechanically binding, carefully clean and lubricate the linkage pins.

   Replace the Valve/Detents

   If the solenoid coil has failed or the internal valve components are worn out, the valve must be serviced. Note that for many modern Massey Ferguson tractors, the manufacturer only sells the complete electrohydraulic valve assembly rather than individual internal solenoids.

   Clear the Codes

   After the repair is complete, use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool or interface device to clear the DTCs from the system and restore normal operation.
