Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness, electrical connector, and pins at External Hydraulic Valve 3 for corrosion, damage, or loose connections
Connect a compatible diagnostic interface device to the tractor's diagnostic port to read the active/inactive status of the code and perform component tests on the valve
Consult the tractor's operator or service manual for guidance on clearing error codes, as some simpler codes may have manual reset instructions
Repair steps
Relieve pressure
Relieve all hydraulic system pressure before starting work.
Locate valve
Locate External Hydraulic Valve 3 (typically mounted on the rear remote valve stack).
Inspect harness
Disconnect the electrical harness to the valve solenoid and inspect for faults.
Diagnose internal fault
If the wiring is intact and receiving proper voltage, the valve solenoid or the valve block itself may be internally faulty.
Replace component
Remove the retaining hardware and replace the faulty hydraulic valve or solenoid.
Reconnect harness
Reconnect the wiring harness.
Bleed and clear code
Bleed the hydraulic system if necessary and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.31.13 code.
