Check the cause
Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve the active DTCs and confirm 0A.32.20 is present.
Inspect the wiring harness leading to External Hydraulic Valve 3 (the third rear remote spool valve) for chafing, breaks, or pinched wires.
Check the electrical connector at the valve for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins.
Test the signal voltage reaching the spool valve and check the internal resistance of the valve's solenoid to determine if the solenoid has failed electrically.
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Ensure the tractor is turned off and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the rear remotes before servicing.
Repair Wiring/Connections
If the diagnostic checks reveal a damaged connector or wiring harness, repair or replace the affected wiring section.
Replace the Valve/Solenoid
If the wiring is intact but the valve solenoid fails resistance testing, remove the retaining bolts for External Hydraulic Valve 3 and replace the faulty spool valve/solenoid assembly.
Reassemble and Test
Reconnect the hydraulic lines and electrical connectors.
Clear Codes
Use the Massey Ferguson diagnostic interface device to clear the 0A.32.20 code from the system. Run the tractor and cycle the third hydraulic remote to ensure the code does not return.
