Check the cause

  1. Verify the hydraulic fluid (UTTO) level and condition, ensuring the filter was changed within the last 300–500 hours.

  2. Inspect the rear remote valve stack (Valve 3) for external leaks, damaged quick-couplers, or pinched hoses.

  3. Check the electronic control cables and wiring harness connectors at the rear of the remote valves for corrosion, loose pins, or physical damage.

  4. Verify the system pressure (PSI) and flow (GPM) at the remote couplers to rule out a failing main hydraulic pump or a stuck relief valve.

Repair steps

  1. Relieve Pressure

Turn off the tractor and cycle the hydraulic controls to relieve all residual system pressure.

  2. Disconnect Linkages

Disconnect the control cables or electronic actuators at the rear of the remote valves.

  3. Mark the Stack

To aid in re-assembly, draw a diagonal line across the entire valve stack with a marker.

  4. Install Guide Pins

Remove one clamping bolt from the stack and immediately install a fabricated guide pin. Note: The valve stack is extremely heavy. Do not attempt to remove the valves without using guide pins to support the weight and keep the O-rings aligned.

  5. Remove Hardware

Repeat the procedure for the remaining clamp bolts, swapping them for guide pins.

  6. Replace Valve/Seals

Slide the faulty #3 valve section out. Replace the valve body or the internal O-rings/seals as necessary.

  7. Reassembly

Slide the new valve back onto the guide pins, ensuring the diagonal alignment mark matches up. Replace the guide pins with the clamping bolts one by one and torque to OEM specifications.

  8. Test

Reconnect cables, top off the UTTO hydraulic fluid, start the tractor, and check for leaks and proper implement operation.
