   Isolate the implement and hoses by testing the implement on another spool valve, or trying a known-good implement on Spool 3 to rule out implement/coupler faults.

   Check the LED status indicator on the electronic valve (Red = receiving power, Green = receiving input, Flashing = fault code).

   Inspect the external linkage position and verify that the valves are returning to their center position.

   Inspect the spool valve cable and the 4-pin electrical connector at the valve head for corrosion, damage, or loose connections.

   Relieve Pressure

   Ensure the tractor is off, the implement is lowered, and all hydraulic pressure is relieved from the system before servicing the valve block.

   Inspect Detents

   On some models (like the 7600 series), inspect the spool valve detents. If worn out or failed, source and modify replacement detents or replace the entire valve.

   Replace the Spool Valve Cable

   If diagnostic checks point to a communication failure between the armrest/joystick and the valve, replace the spool valve cable.

   Replace the Electric Spool Slice

   If the valve head or slice has failed internally, remove the retaining bolts and hydraulic lines to swap out the faulty Spool 3 slice.

   Reprogramming

   If a new electric spool slice is installed, program/calibrate it to the tractor's Autotronic system using a dealer diagnostic tool (like Wintest).
