Massey Ferguson 0A.41.12 – Hydraulic Valve control system / Armrest control module: External Hydraulic Valve 4 Issue

Malfunction or communication failure with the 4th external hydraulic spool valve on the tractor. This is often an electrical fault, open circuit, or poor connection at the valve itself.

   Scan for related diagnostic codes, such as 0A.41.FF (Connection problem) or spool position sensor errors

   Physically inspect the wiring harness and connections leading to External Hydraulic Valve 4 at the rear of the tractor

   Check the spool position sensor to verify it is reading correctly and that the valve spool is returning to neutral

   Locate Valve 4

   Identify the 4th external hydraulic spool valve block at the rear hydraulic remotes.

   Clean and Reseat Connectors

   Disconnect the electrical harness to the valve and the spool position sensor. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner to resolve potential connection problems.

   Test the Harness

   Check for continuity and ensure there are no shorts to ground or open circuits in the wiring leading back to the armrest/hydraulic ECU.

   Replace Faulty Components

   If the wiring is sound but the valve fails to actuate or the position sensor reads out of range, the spool valve assembly or the position sensor must be replaced.

   Clear Codes

   After repair, use a compatible diagnostic interface device to clear the DTCs and test the hydraulic remote for proper operation. Consult a qualified technician for calibration if a new valve is installed.
