   Inspect the 4-pin electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 4 for corrosion, moisture, or bent pins.

   Trace the wiring from the spool valve controller to Valve 4 to ensure there are no shorts or breaks in the harness.

   Swap the electrical connector from Valve 4 with the connector for Valve 3. Clear the codes and operate the hydraulics. If the fault code changes to a Valve 3 issue (e.g., 0A.43.XX), the spool valve slice itself is faulty. If the code remains 0A.42.29, the issue lies within the wiring harness or the controller.

   Depressurize

   Turn off the tractor and relieve all hydraulic system pressure.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the 4-pin electrical connector from the faulty electric spool slice (Valve 4).

   Remove Lines

   Unbolt the hydraulic lines connected to the valve slice. Cap all lines and ports immediately to prevent system contamination.

   Disassemble Valve Stack

   Remove the tie-rod bolts holding the rear remote spool valve stack together.

   Remove and Replace

   Carefully slide out the faulty electric spool slice. Insert the new spool slice, ensuring that new O-rings are properly seated between the slices to prevent internal leaks.

   Reassemble

   Reinstall the tie-rod bolts and torque them to the manufacturer's specifications. Reconnect the hydraulic lines and the 4-pin electrical connector.

   Programming

   The new electric spool slice must be programmed/calibrated to the tractor's ECU using a dealer diagnostic tool.

   Test

   Clear the DTCs and test the hydraulic remote function for proper operation and leak-free performance.
