   Check Fluid and Filters: Ensure the hydraulic fluid (UTTO) is at the correct level and not contaminated. Verify that the hydraulic filters have been changed within their 300–500 hour service interval.

   Inspect for Internal/External Leaks: A common symptom of hydraulic valve failure is an implement dropping overnight. Check for worn seals, damaged O-rings, or scored cylinders.

   Electrical vs. Mechanical Check: Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connections to the solenoid on Valve 4 for corrosion or breaks.

   Test Operation: Determine if the valve is stuck. Sometimes manually moving the pump control valve lever or repeatedly lifting/dropping the arms can unstick a stubborn valve.

   Preparation

   Lower all implements to the ground to relieve hydraulic pressure. Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery.

   Access the Valve Block

   Clean the area around the rear external hydraulic valve stack to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

   Disconnect Lines

   Disconnect the electrical solenoid connector for Valve 4. Carefully loosen and remove the hydraulic lines connected to the 4th valve section. Cap all lines immediately.

   Remove the Valve Section

   Unbolt the tie-rods or mounting bolts holding the valve stack together and carefully slide out the faulty Valve 4 section.

   Reseal or Replace

   If resealing: Use a specialized spool valve replacement/reseal kit (like the K-Line AT20010) to replace the internal O-rings and seals of the Bosch SB23 valve. If replacing: Install the new distributor section or upgraded aftermarket bypass valve.

   Reassembly

   Reinstall the valve section, torque the stack bolts to OEM spec, and reconnect the hydraulic lines and electrical harness.

   Testing

   Refill any lost UTTO hydraulic fluid. Start the tractor, cycle the external hydraulic circuit several times to bleed air from the system, and check for leaks.
