Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector plugging into External Hydraulic Valve 5 for corrosion, loose pins, or damaged wires.
Verify the electrical integrity of the pilot pressure control and the electric spool slice.
Ensure the tractor's hydraulic fluid is at the correct level and free of heavy contamination that could cause the spool valve to stick.
Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs and operate the hydraulic remotes to see if code 0A.50.19 returns as an active fault.
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Turn off the tractor and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system before servicing the valves.
Access the Valve Block
Locate the external hydraulic valve stack at the rear of the tractor. Identify Valve 5 in the slice assembly.
Disconnect Electronics
Unplug the electrical connector from the electric spool slice for Valve 5.
Remove the Valve
Unbolt the affected spool slice from the hydraulic block assembly. Be prepared with a catch pan, as residual hydraulic fluid will leak out.
Rebuild or Replace
If rebuilding, use an OEM repair kit to replace the internal seals and O-rings. If replacing, install the new electric spool slice.
Reassembly
Bolt the valve back into the stack, ensuring all seals are seated correctly. Reconnect the electrical harness.
Programming
If a new electric spool slice was installed, it must be programmed to the tractor's computer using a dealer diagnostic tool.
Test
Top off the hydraulic fluid, start the tractor, clear the codes, and test the remote valve for proper operation and leaks.
