Check the cause
Electrical Connection Check: Inspect the wiring harness, pins, and connector at the Valve 5 solenoid for corrosion, damage, or a loose fit. Verify the frequency carrier signal and ground.
Spool Leakage Check: Perform a pressure check on the valve ports. If no pressure can be obtained, oil is leaking internally around the spool, meaning the valve assembly must be replaced.
Mechanical Detent Check: Ensure the levers remain in the detent position through the full cycle of the auxiliary cylinder. If the levers fail to hold or move in unison when pressure is applied, the valve mechanism is failing.
Repair steps
Relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system before beginning work.
Disconnect the electrical harness from the Valve 5 solenoid.
Remove the bolts securing the cap/valve to the hydraulic lift cover or base plate.
Carefully detach the valve from the standpipe.
Caution: Ensure that the standpipe is not dislodged from its seat in the hydraulic pump during removal.
Separate the old control valve from the base section.
Fit the standpipe into the inlet port of the new base plate/valve.
Fit the new valve assembly to the lift cover, ensuring the standpipe is correctly located into its seat on the hydraulic pump.
Secure the control valve to the base plate with the mounting bolts and torque to OEM specifications.
Reconnect the hydraulic lines and the electrical solenoid connector.
Clear the DTCs using a compatible diagnostic tool (e.g., AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool) and test the hydraulic function.
