   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool/interface to confirm the code is active and specifically isolating Valve 5.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the 5th spool valve. Check the 4-pin connector on the Rexroth electric spool valve for corrosion, backed-out pins, or wire chafing (connection problem cause).

   Check the pilot pressure control on the electric spool valve to see if the mechanical/hydraulic actuation has failed rather than the entire slice.

   Isolate the Valve

   Locate the 5th external hydraulic spool slice on the rear hydraulic valve stack.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent shorting the onboard diagnostic system.

   Remove the Faulty Slice

   Disconnect the 4-pin electrical connector and the hydraulic lines associated with Valve 5. Unbolt the slice from the hydraulic stack.

   Install the Replacement

   Bolt the new Electric Spool Slice into the stack, ensuring all O-rings/seals are properly seated. Reconnect the hydraulic lines and the 4-pin connector.

   Programming

   Use a dealer diagnostic tool to calibrate the new valve to the tractor's ECU.

   Clear Codes

   Clear the 0A.50.24 DTC using the diagnostic tool and test the remote valve for proper operation.
