   Retrieve the active codes using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic interface device to confirm 0A.50.28 is present.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the #5 external hydraulic valve at the rear of the tractor.

   Check the electrical connector at the valve actuator for corrosion, bent pins, or moisture ingress.

   Test the electronic valve actuator for internal shorts or open circuits.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during repair.

   Access the Valve Block

   Locate the external hydraulic remote valve stack at the rear of the tractor and identify valve #5.

   Wiring Repair

   If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged wiring or a corroded connector, repair the harness or replace the pigtail connector.

   Valve/Actuator Replacement

   If the wiring is intact but the valve actuator has failed, unbolt the faulty electronic spool valve/actuator assembly from the hydraulic block and install the replacement unit.
