   Inspect for a connection problem or electrical failure on the 5th external hydraulic valve.

   Check the spool valve control cables (if equipped with mechanical/electrical hybrid linkages) for wear or breaks.

   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve the code, verify if it is active or stored, and clear it after inspecting the connections.

   Isolate the Valve

   Identify External Hydraulic Valve 5 (Spool Slice 5) on the rear hydraulic block.

   Component Replacement

   Depending on the failure, you may need to replace the Pilot Pressure Control unit or the entire Electric Spool Slice. Alternatively, an OEM repair kit can be used to restore hydraulic functionality if the issue is mechanical/seal-related.

   Programming

   If the Electric Spool Slice is replaced, the new unit must be programmed to the tractor using a dealer diagnostic tool before it will operate correctly.
