Check the cause
Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve active codes and confirm if 0A.52.29 is active or stored
Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector leading to External Hydraulic Valve 5 for corrosion, damage, or a loose connection
Check the tractor's hydraulic fluid levels
Inspect the rear remote valve stack (specifically the 5th slice/spool) for physical damage or leaks
Repair steps
Power down the tractor and relieve all hydraulic system pressure.
Power down the tractor and relieve all hydraulic system pressure.
Locate the external hydraulic valve block at the rear of the tractor and identify Valve 5 in the stack.
Locate the external hydraulic valve block at the rear of the tractor and identify Valve 5 in the stack.
Disconnect the electrical harness to the valve solenoid. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and apply dielectric grease.
Disconnect the electrical harness to the valve solenoid. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and apply dielectric grease.
If the wiring is intact but the code persists, the valve solenoid or the valve spool itself has failed internally. Remove the mounting bolts securing Valve 5 to the hydraulic block.
