   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to confirm 0A.53.1F is active and check for any related voltage or CAN bus codes.

   Physically inspect the wiring harness leading to the #5 rear remote valve for connection problems.

   Look for corroded pins, loose connectors, or damaged wires at the valve's solenoid.

   Check the electrical resistance of the solenoid on Valve 5 to ensure it has not shorted or failed internally.

   Relieve hydraulic pressure

   Power down the tractor and relieve all hydraulic system pressure.

   Locate Valve 5

   Locate the rear external hydraulic valve block and identify Valve 5.

   Disconnect electrical harness

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the Valve 5 solenoid.

   Clean or repair wiring

   Clean the connector contacts with electrical contact cleaner. If the wiring harness is damaged, repair or replace the affected pigtail.

   Remove solenoid/spool assembly

   If the wiring is sound but the valve is unresponsive, remove the retaining bolts for the Valve 5 solenoid/spool assembly.

   Install replacement part

   Install the replacement spool valve or solenoid (depending on whether the mechanical spool is sticking or the electrical solenoid has failed).

   Reconnect wiring harness

   Reconnect the wiring harness.

   Clear DTCs and test

   Clear the DTCs using the diagnostic tool and function-test the #5 remote valve to ensure the code does not return.
