   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve the code and confirm it is active.

   Visually inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector leading to External Hydraulic Valve #6 at the rear remote block for damaged wires, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Perform pin-out voltage and resistance tests on the valve's solenoid according to the OEM service manual to determine if the fault is in the wiring harness or the valve itself.

   Inspect and clean connections

   Disconnect the electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 6. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and ensure a tight fit upon reconnection.

   Clear the code

   Attempt to clear the DTC using your diagnostic interface. If it is a hard fault, it will return immediately upon cycling the key or activating the hydraulics.

   Replace the valve/solenoid

   If the wiring tests good and the code persists, the electronic spool valve or its integrated solenoid/actuator has failed internally and must be replaced.

   Recalibrate the system

   After replacing an electronic hydraulic valve, use the diagnostic tool to calibrate the new valve to the tractor's system.
