Massey Ferguson 0A.60.23: External Hydraulic Valve 6 Issue

   Locate external hydraulic valve 6 on the rear remote valve stack and inspect the electrical connector for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins.

   Check the wiring harness leading to valve 6 for an open circuit, a short circuit to ground (earth), or a short circuit between cables.

   Test the solenoid on valve 6 for proper resistance and current draw to rule out a fast decay or current level error.

   Disconnect battery isolator

   Disconnect the battery isolator to ensure safety before working on the electrical system.

   Disconnect wiring harness

   Disconnect the wiring harness from the External Hydraulic Valve 6 solenoid.

   Repair or replace wiring

   If the wiring harness is damaged (shorted or open), repair or replace the affected wiring section.

   Remove retaining bolts

   If the wiring tests fine, the fault lies within the valve's electrical solenoid or the slice itself. Remove the retaining bolts for the solenoid/spool slice.

   Install replacement part

   Install the replacement electric spool slice or pilot pressure control solenoid.

   Reconnect wiring and power

   Reconnect the wiring harness and restore battery power.

   Clear DTC and calibrate

   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the DTC from the system and calibrate the new valve if required.
