Check the cause

  1. Check hydraulic fluid level and condition, ensuring filters are not blocked, as cold or contaminated oil can cause valve sticking

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector at External Valve 6 for corrosion, bent pins, or frayed wires

  3. Test the electronic solenoid on Valve 6 for proper resistance, or temporarily swap the connector to a known-good valve (e.g., Valve 5) to isolate the fault to the valve or the wiring/ECU

  4. Inspect the valve block for external leaks, including leaking standpipe O-rings or internal seals that can cause pressure loss

  5. Check the 1/2-inch ISO 5675 quick couplers to ensure they are not faulty or blocked, which can mimic a valve failure by causing pressure buildup

Repair steps

  1. Depressurize the System

Lower all implements to the ground and turn off the tractor. Cycle the hydraulic levers/joystick to relieve any residual hydraulic pressure in the system.

  2. Disconnect Power

Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts while working on the EHR system.

  3. Remove Electrical Harness

Unplug the electrical connector from the Valve 6 solenoid.

  4. Solenoid Replacement (If applicable)

If only the solenoid has failed, remove the retaining nut at the end of the spool, slide the old solenoid off, and install the new one.

  5. Valve Block Replacement

If the spool is sticking or internal seals have failed, unbolt the Valve 6 block from the rear hydraulic stack.

  6. Install New/Rebuilt Valve

Install the replacement valve block (or rebuild the existing one using an OEM control valve repair kit, replacing all O-rings and transfer seals).

  7. Reassembly

Torque the mounting bolts to OEM specifications. Reconnect the electrical harness.

  8. Test

Reconnect the battery, top up the hydraulic fluid, and start the tractor. Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.60.2A code. Test the remote valve with an implement to ensure proper flow and no leaks.
