   Check the hydraulic fluid level and ensure there are no leaks in the system.

   Test the battery and electrical system to ensure proper voltage. Low voltage can cause electronic spool valves to lock out.

   Check all fuses and relays associated with the hydraulic and spool valve systems.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector specifically at External Hydraulic Valve 6.

   If the spool valve is locked out electronically, check if the valve operates manually by pressing the manual override pin on the solenoid. If it works manually but not electronically, the issue is isolated to the electrical circuit or the solenoid itself.

   Retrieve Codes

   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool or interface device to confirm 0A.61.12 is the only active code.

   Inspect and Clean

   Disconnect the electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 6. Clean the contacts and inspect for broken wires, corrosion, or moisture. Reconnect and test.

   Replace Components

   If the wiring, fuses, and relays are intact, and the manual override test proves the mechanical valve is free, replace the faulty electronic spool valve solenoid or the entire valve assembly.

   Clear Codes

   After the repair is complete, use the diagnostic tool to clear the DTC from the tractor's onboard diagnostic system to restore normal operation.
