0A.62.11

Massey Ferguson 0A.62.11 – EHR (Electro-Hydraulic Remote) controller or AUTOTRONIC transmission/hydraulic control module: External Hydraulic Valve 6 Issue

Issue description

Malfunction on the 6th external hydraulic remote valve (spool valve). Typically an electrical connection problem to the valve's solenoid, a sticking/jamming valve spool, or a pressure/flow restriction.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness and connector at External Hydraulic Valve 6 for corrosion, loose pins, or broken wires.

  2. Check the UTTO (Universal Tractor Transmission Oil) hydraulic fluid level and condition. A blocked hydraulic or transmission filter is a primary cause of restricted flow.

  3. Check if the valve is sticking or jamming. Debris or internal wear can cause the spool to seize, leading to an unresponsive remote.

  4. Inspect the hydraulic couplers for damage and check the valve block for visible fluid leaks.

Repair steps

  1. Retrieve & Verify

Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve the active 0A.62.11 code and verify if it is an active electrical short/open or a mechanical performance fault.

  2. Relieve Pressure

Before opening the hydraulic system, ensure the tractor is off, implements are lowered, and system pressure is relieved.

  3. Service Filters

If the hydraulic/transmission filters have not been changed in the last 300–500 hours, drain the fluid and replace the filters.

  4. Clean/Rebuild the Valve

If the electrical connection is sound but the valve is sticking, remove the spool valve assembly. Clean out any debris. Replace internal O-rings, seals, or the diaphragm assembly.

  5. Replace the Valve

If the solenoid is burnt out or the valve body is heavily scored/worn, replace the entire External Hydraulic Valve 6 assembly.

  6. Reassemble and Clear Codes

Reinstall the valve, top off the UTTO hydraulic fluid, and use the diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs. Test the remote with an implement to ensure proper pressure and flow.
