Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector going to the solenoid of Valve 6 for corrosion, loose pins, or frayed wires
Check the hydraulic fluid (UTTO) level and condition, as well as the hydraulic/transmission filter for blockages
Test if the valve is physically jammed or if the solenoid is failing to actuate the spool due to debris or internal wear
Inspect the valve block for visible fluid leaks that could reduce system efficiency and cause pressure drops
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Turn off the tractor, lower all implements to the ground, and cycle the hydraulic controls to relieve all residual pressure in the system.
Electrical Repair
Disconnect the wiring harness at External Valve 6. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner. If the wiring is damaged, splice in a repair pigtail or replace the harness section.
Valve Cleaning/Rebuild
If the electrical circuit is sound but the valve is sticking, remove the spool valve assembly. Clean the valve body and spool. You can rebuild the valve using an OEM repair kit to replace worn internal seals and O-rings.
Filter and Fluid Service
If the hydraulic fluid is contaminated (which causes valves to stick), drain the system, replace the hydraulic/transmission filter, and refill with fresh OEM-spec UTTO fluid (e.g., 10W40).
Component Replacement
If the valve solenoid is burnt out or the valve body is heavily scored, replace the entire electric spool slice/valve assembly.
Clear Codes
Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic interface tool to clear the 0A.63.1F code and recalibrate the new valve if required by the ECU.
