   Check hydraulic fluid to ensure it is clean and at the proper level, as dirty or low fluid can cause premature solenoid failure or sticking.

   Inspect the solenoid connector at Valve 6 for corrosion or damage, and check the wiring harness for rub points, open circuits, or shorts to ground/power.

   Test the solenoid coil resistance with a multimeter to ensure it is within specification and verify ground integrity.

   Check for mechanical binding by manually moving the control lever back and forth to see if the valve is stuck due to debris or internal wear.

   Safety First

   Always relieve the hydraulic system pressure and disconnect the tractor's battery before starting work.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 6, which is typically mounted in the rear remote valve stack or transmission housing.

   Remove the Solenoid/Valve

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the solenoid. Unbolt the solenoid coil or the entire spool valve assembly from the hydraulic block.

   Clean and Inspect

   Clean the mounting surface. If replacing just the solenoid, ensure the valve spool moves freely without binding.

   Install the New Part

   Mount the new solenoid or valve assembly. Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Test

   Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and test the hydraulic remote for proper operation. Check for any fluid leaks around the new valve.
