Check the cause

  1. Check the hydraulic fluid (UTTO) level and condition, and ensure hydraulic filters are clean (change every 300-500 hours) as contaminated fluid can cause valves to stick.

  2. Inspect the #6 external valve, quick couplers, hydraulic hoses, and piston seals for visible fluid leaks that can cause system pressure loss.

  3. Check the tightness of the electrical and hydraulic connections at the pump and the specific control valve to rule out aeration or connection faults.

  4. Test if the hydraulic controls are unresponsive or if the valve is physically jammed due to debris or internal wear.

Repair steps

  1. Relieve Pressure

Ensure the tractor is off and relieve all hydraulic system pressure before beginning work.

  2. Remove Existing Valve

Remove the bolts securing the cap or the faulty valve on the hydraulic lift cover.

  3. Detach Standpipe

Carefully detach the valve from the standpipe. Ensure that the standpipe is not dislodged from its seat in the hydraulic pump during removal.

  4. Separate Components

If applicable, separate the valve and the base section by removing the securing bolts.

  5. Install New Base/Valve

Fit the standpipe into the inlet port of the new valve's base plate.

  6. Mount to Lift Cover

Fit the base plate to the lift cover, ensuring the standpipe is correctly located into its seat on the hydraulic pump.

  7. Secure Assembly

Secure the base plate to the lift cover, then secure the control valve to the base plate using the provided bolts.

  8. Test System

Reconnect all hoses, top off the UTTO hydraulic fluid, bleed the system of air, and test the #6 remote for leaks and proper operation.
