Check the cause
Retrieve and verify the active DTCs using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool or interface device.
Inspect the wiring harness leading to External Hydraulic Valve 7 for loose connectors, corroded pins, or damaged wiring.
Inspect the pilot pressure control unit on the electric spool valve for proper operation or leaks.
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Ensure the tractor is turned off and relieve all hydraulic system pressure before servicing the valve block.
Locate the Valve
Locate the external hydraulic valve stack (spool slices) at the rear of the tractor. Identify Valve 7 in the sequence.
Disconnect Wiring
Disconnect the electrical harness from the faulty electric spool slice.
Remove the Valve
Unbolt the faulty spool slice from the hydraulic block assembly.
Install the Replacement
Mount the new electric spool slice and torque the bolts to OEM specifications. Reconnect the electrical harness.
Programming
New electric spool slices typically need to be programmed to the tractor's onboard computer using a dealer diagnostic tool before they will function correctly.
