   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve the code and attempt to clear it to verify if it is an active (hard) fault or a stored intermittent issue.

   Locate the external hydraulic valve block at the rear of the tractor and identify the specific valve throwing the code (Valve 7).

   Inspect the electrical connector plugging into the solenoid control valve for damaged wires, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Test the wiring harness for continuity back to the main harness/ECU to rule out a broken wire.

   Safety First

   Turn off the tractor, relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system, and disconnect the battery.

   Access the Valve

   Clean the area around the rear remote valve block to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

   Disconnect Electricals

   Unplug the 4-pin electrical connector from the top of the faulty electro-hydraulic spool valve head.

   Remove the Valve Head/Solenoid

   Unbolt the electronic valve head/solenoid from the mechanical spool valve body.

   Install the Replacement

   Mount the new electro-hydraulic valve head or complete spool valve assembly. Torque the mounting bolts to OEM specifications.

   Reconnect and Test

   Reconnect the electrical harness. Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and use the diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.73.21 code. Test the remote valve function to ensure proper operation and check for hydraulic leaks.
