Check the cause
Check the wiring harness and electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 7 for corrosion, loose pins, or broken wires
Inspect the spool valve block for external hydraulic fluid leaks
Test if the valve is sticking in one direction, indicating mechanical binding
Determine if the tractor is equipped with the Bosch Rexroth SB23 auxiliary valve, which is known for operational failures
Repair steps
Preparation
Safely park the tractor, lower all implements to the ground, relieve all hydraulic system pressure, and disconnect the battery.
Access the Valve
Locate the external hydraulic valve block at the rear of the tractor and identify Valve 7.
Wiring Repair
If the diagnostic check revealed a damaged connector or wiring, splice in a new connector pigtail or repair the harness.
Valve Removal
If the valve is leaking or sticking, disconnect the hydraulic lines and electrical connections, then unbolt the spool valve from the hydraulic block.
Rebuild or Replace
To rebuild: Disassemble the spool valve and replace the internal seals and O-rings using an OEM repair kit. To replace: If the internal solenoids have failed (common on Bosch Rexroth units), install a complete replacement valve assembly.
Reinstallation
Mount the repaired or new valve, reconnect all hydraulic lines, and plug in the electrical harness.
Testing
Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and test the auxiliary remote for proper operation and leak-free performance. Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the DTC.
