Issue description
Malfunction or connection problem with the 8th external hydraulic remote (spool valve) on the tractor.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness, pins, and connector going to External Hydraulic Valve 8 for corrosion, moisture, or broken wires
Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve active codes and verify if the issue is intermittent or permanent
Repair steps
Locate
Locate External Hydraulic Valve 8 in the rear remote valve stack.
Disconnect
Disconnect the electrical harness from the faulty electric spool slice.
Remove
Unbolt and remove the faulty electric spool slice from the hydraulic manifold block.
Install
Install the replacement electric spool slice (ensure O-rings/seals are properly seated).
Program
The new electric spool slice must be programmed/calibrated to the tractor's onboard computer using a dealer diagnostic tool. The valve will not function correctly out of the box without this step.
Test
Clear the DTCs and test the hydraulic remote for proper operation.
