   Inspect the electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 8 for dirt, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the valve for any exposed wires, chafing, or rub points that could cause an open circuit, a short to ground, or a short to power.

   Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the valve's solenoid coil to ensure it is within specification and not internally shorted or open.

   Ensure the ground connection for the valve circuit is clean and secure.

   Verify there are no underlying electrical power issues, such as low voltage during cranking or weak charging, which can trigger false actuator/solenoid codes.

   Repair wiring

   Repair any damaged wiring or harness rub points found during the visual inspection.

   Clean or replace connector

   Clean or replace the solenoid connector if corrosion or pin damage is present.

   Replace solenoid or valve

   Replace the external hydraulic valve solenoid (or the entire valve assembly) if the coil resistance tests out of specification or if the valve is mechanically stuck.

   Clear DTCs

   Clear the DTCs using a compatible diagnostic tool after the repair is complete to verify the fix.
