   Inspect the wiring harness and connector going to External Hydraulic Valve 8 for damage, corrosion, or loose pins

   Use a multimeter to verify power, ground, and CAN/signal continuity to the valve actuator

   Ensure the spool valve is not physically stuck or binding due to debris or contaminated hydraulic fluid

   Attempt to clear the DTC using a compatible diagnostic tool to see if the code is an active hard fault or a stored intermittent issue

   Relieve Pressure

   Ensure the tractor is off, implements are lowered, and hydraulic pressure is fully relieved from the system before servicing the valve block.

   Disconnect Electrical

   Unplug the electrical connector from the actuator on External Hydraulic Valve 8.

   Remove the Valve

   Unbolt the affected spool valve section from the hydraulic remote stack.

   Rebuild or Replace

   Depending on the diagnosis, either install an OEM repair kit (seals/o-rings) or replace the entire spool valve assembly.

   Reinstall and Test

   Bolt the new/repaired valve back into the stack, reconnect the electrical harness, top off hydraulic fluid, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the code and test the remote's functionality.
