Massey Ferguson 0B.00.01 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The electrical circuit controlling the solenoid for the mid-mount loader valve has been broken or disconnected, preventing the solenoid from receiving the electrical current needed to actuate the hydraulic valve.

   Trace the wiring harness between the Mid Mount Valve Module and the loader mid-mount electro valve block for disconnected plugs, broken wires, or corroded pins.

   Perform a coil resistance test by disconnecting the electrical connector at the solenoid and using a multimeter to measure resistance across the pins (infinite resistance/OL indicates broken internal windings).

   Check hydraulic fluid level and condition, as dirty or low fluid can cause valves to stick and lead to premature solenoid overheating.

   Safety First

   Park the tractor on a flat surface, lower the loader to the ground to relieve hydraulic system pressure, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the mid-mount electro valve block, which typically mounts to the transmission housing or under the right side of the cab where the hydraulic lines connect to the loader system.

   Disconnect the Solenoid

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid Coil

   Depending on the valve design, remove the retaining nut at the end of the solenoid stem and slide the faulty electromagnetic coil off the valve cartridge. (If the entire valve cartridge is damaged, you may need to unthread the cartridge from the valve block, being prepared to catch residual hydraulic fluid).

   Install the New Part

   Slide the new solenoid coil onto the valve stem and tighten the retaining nut.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical harness. Reconnect the battery.

   Testing

   Start the tractor, allow hydraulic pressure to build, and test the loader joystick to ensure smooth operation and verify that the fault code has cleared.
