Massey Ferguson 0B.00.10 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The electrical circuit supplying power to the solenoid on the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve (which controls the front loader) is broken or incomplete, resulting in a loss of loader function.

   Locate the mid-mount valve block (typically mounted on the right side of the tractor chassis, under the cab) and inspect the wiring harness leading to the loader solenoids for chafing, rodent damage, or severed wires.

   Unplug the connector at the affected solenoid and check for pushed-back pins, water ingress, or heavy corrosion that could cause an open circuit.

   Using a multimeter, measure the resistance (Ohms) across the two pins of the solenoid coil. If the multimeter reads 'OL' (Open Loop) or infinite resistance, the internal coil winding has broken and the solenoid must be replaced.

   If the coil tests good, check the continuity of the wiring harness from the solenoid connector back to the Mid Mount Valve Module to isolate a broken wire.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical spikes.

   Access the Valve

   Safely access the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block. Clean the area around the affected solenoid to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

   Disconnect Wiring

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid Coil

   Remove the retaining nut at the end of the valve stem. Slide the faulty electromagnetic coil off the valve cartridge (you usually do not need to open the hydraulic circuit or remove the cartridge itself just to replace the coil).

   Install New Coil

   Slide the new OEM solenoid coil onto the stem and secure it with the retaining nut. Do not overtighten, as this can distort the cartridge.

   Reconnect and Test

   Reconnect the electrical plug. Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and operate the loader joystick to verify that the fault code has cleared and hydraulic function is restored.
