Massey Ferguson 0B.00.11 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Low Amp Draw

Issue description

The control module is detecting that the electrical current (amperage) flowing through the loader's mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve solenoid is lower than the expected operational threshold. A "low amp draw" typically indicates high electrical resistance, a failing solenoid coil (internal break), or an open circuit/wiring issue preventing proper current flow.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness running from the Mid Mount Valve Module to the loader valve block for chafed wires, pinch points, or rodent damage

  2. Disconnect the plug at the affected mid-mount valve solenoid and check for water ingress, dirt, pushed-back pins, or corrosion

  3. Using a multimeter, measure the resistance (Ohms) across the two pins of the solenoid coil (a reading of 'OL' or unusually high resistance confirms the internal coil is burnt out)

  4. With the key ON and the loader joystick commanded, verify that the harness is delivering proper voltage and has a solid ground

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Locate the Valve

Locate the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block (typically mounted on the right side of the tractor chassis, near the loader mast mounts).

  3. Disconnect

Unplug the electrical wiring harness connector from the faulty solenoid.

  4. Remove the Coil

Remove the retaining nut or retaining clip at the end of the valve stem that holds the solenoid coil in place.

  5. Swap the Part

Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve cartridge stem. Slide the new OEM solenoid coil onto the stem.

  6. Secure

Reinstall and tighten the retaining nut/clip (do not overtighten, as this can crack the plastic coil housing).

  7. Reconnect

Plug the electrical connector back into the new solenoid.

  8. Clear Codes & Test

Reconnect the battery. Use the tractor's dash menu or a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the 0B.00.11 fault code. Start the tractor and test the loader joystick to ensure proper hydraulic function.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid (or Mid Mount Valve Solenoid Coil)

When ordering through an AGCO/Massey Ferguson dealer, you must provide the tractor's serial number and specify whether the solenoid is for the lift, lower, curl, or dump circuit on the mid-mount block, as coil dimensions and connectors can occasionally differ.
