Massey Ferguson 0B.00.13 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Supply Solenoid Open Circuit

The control module has detected a break in the electrical circuit (infinite resistance or lack of continuity) that supplies power to the solenoid on the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve.

   Visually inspect the mid-mount valve block wiring harness for chafing, rodent damage, or snagged wires.

   Disconnect the plug at the supply solenoid and check for pushed-back pins, heavy corrosion, or water ingress.

   Measure the resistance (Ohms) across the two terminals of the supply solenoid coil using a digital multimeter. A reading of OL or infinite resistance indicates a broken internal coil.

   If the solenoid tests good (5-15 ohms), test the wiring harness for continuity back to the Mid Mount Valve Module to locate the break in the wire.

   Lower the front loader to the ground to relieve hydraulic pressure and turn off the tractor.

   Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent short circuits during repair.

   Locate the mid-mount electro valve block and identify the specific supply solenoid throwing the code.

   Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the faulty solenoid.

   If repairing the harness: Splice and repair any broken wires using marine-grade heat-shrink butt connectors, or replace the damaged section of the mid-mount wiring loom.

   If replacing the solenoid: Remove the retaining nut at the end of the solenoid stem and slide the faulty electromagnetic coil off the hydraulic valve cartridge.

   You typically do not need to open the hydraulic system or remove the cartridge valve itself just to replace the coil.

   Slide the new solenoid coil onto the stem and tighten the retaining nut to the manufacturer's torque spec.

   Do not overtighten, or you may crack the plastic housing.

   Reconnect the electrical plug, ensuring the weather-pack seal is seated properly.

   Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and test the loader joystick to ensure proper operation.

    Clear the DTC using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic interface tool.
