Massey Ferguson 0B.00.14 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Low Amp Draw
Issue description
This condition indicates that the electrical current (amperage) flowing through the solenoid coil on the mid-mount loader valve is lower than the system's expected threshold. A low amp draw typically points to high electrical resistance in the circuit, which is most commonly caused by a loose connection, corroded wiring, a broken wire, or a failing/open solenoid coil.

Check the cause
Visual Inspection: Locate the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block (typically mounted on the chassis below the cab area) and inspect the wiring harness leading to the solenoids. Look for frayed wires, pinched harnesses, or damaged connectors.
Connector Check: Disconnect the electrical plug at the affected solenoid. Check for water ingress, dirt, or corroded pins.
Coil Resistance Test: Using a multimeter, measure the resistance (Ohms) across the pins of the solenoid coil. An 'OL' (open loop) or unusually high resistance reading confirms the coil has failed internally and is causing the low amp draw.
Voltage/Signal Test: With the tractor on (and safety precautions taken), probe the supply side of the harness connector while actuating the loader joystick to ensure the Mid Mount Valve Module is sending the correct voltage to the valve.
Repair steps
Preparation
Park the tractor on a flat surface, lower the front loader bucket completely to the ground to relieve all hydraulic pressure, turn off the engine, and disconnect the battery.
Locate the Valve
Identify the specific mid-mount electro valve block and the faulty solenoid coil that failed the multimeter test.
Removal
Disconnect the electrical wiring harness from the solenoid. Remove the retaining nut at the end of the valve stem that holds the solenoid coil in place.
Slide off the Coil
Slide the old solenoid coil off the hydraulic valve cartridge. (Note: If you are only replacing the electromagnetic coil, you will not breach the hydraulic system. If replacing the entire valve cartridge, unscrew it from the block and be prepared to catch a small amount of hydraulic fluid).
Installation
Slide the new solenoid coil onto the valve stem and secure it with the retaining nut. Do not overtighten.
Reconnection
Plug the electrical connector back into the new solenoid, ensuring it clicks and locks securely.
Testing
Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and operate the loader joystick. Verify that the loader functions smoothly and that the 0B.00.14 fault code has cleared from the dash display.
