Massey Ferguson 0B.00.15 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid High Amp Draw
Issue description
The system has detected that the electrical current (amperage) being pulled by the solenoid responsible for actuating the mid-mount loader hydraulic valve is exceeding the maximum allowable threshold. This is typically caused by a short circuit to ground in the wiring harness or an internally shorted solenoid coil.

Check the cause
Trace the wiring loom from the Mid Mount Valve Module to the loader valve block for chafed wires, melted insulation, or pinched lines that could cause a short to ground.
Disconnect the plug at the solenoid and check for water ingress, corrosion, or bent pins.
Use a multimeter to measure the resistance (Ohms) across the solenoid pins. A reading of zero or near-zero indicates the coil is internally shorted.
Ensure the hydraulic fluid is clean and at the proper level. Contaminated fluid can cause the valve spool to stick, forcing the solenoid to overwork.
Repair steps
Safety First
Lower the loader to the ground to relieve all hydraulic system pressure. Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent accidental electrical spikes.
Locate the Valve
Locate the mid-mount electro valve block, which is typically mounted near the transmission housing or mid-chassis where the loader hydraulic lines connect.
Remove the Solenoid
Disconnect the electrical connector from the faulty solenoid. Remove the retaining nut or bolt at the end of the valve stem.
Swap the Coil
Slide the old solenoid coil off the hydraulic valve cartridge. (Note: You usually do not need to remove the hydraulic cartridge itself, which prevents fluid loss).
Install the New Part
Slide the new solenoid onto the stem, secure it with the retaining nut, and plug in the electrical connector.
Test
Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and operate the loader joystick to ensure smooth engagement and verify that the 0B.00.15 code has cleared.
