Massey Ferguson 0B.00.23 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Issue With Calibration OF Valves

The tractor's onboard diagnostic system has detected that the electro-hydraulic valves have not been properly calibrated, or that the stored calibration values are out of range or corrupted.

   Check for other active '0B' codes. If there are accompanying codes for solenoid open circuits, low/high amp draws (e.g., 0B.01.01 through 0B.01.12), or spool position sensor values (0B.X.17 through 0B.X.21), those electrical faults must be resolved before a calibration can be successfully completed.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors running from the cab to the mid-mount valve block for corrosion, damage, or loose pins.

   Ensure the tractor's hydraulic fluid is at normal operating temperature, as cold, thick oil can cause calibration procedures to fail.

   Stroke the valves back and forth manually or via the joystick to clear any debris or sticking spools before attempting calibration.

   Warm up the tractor

   Warm up the tractor until the hydraulic oil reaches operating temperature.

   Ensure no implements are connected

   Ensure no implements are connected to the valves being calibrated, as sudden movements can occur.

   Access EHR menus

   Access the tractor's EHR (Electro-Hydraulic Remote) menus via the dashboard instrumentation or connect the dealer Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT).

   Navigate to EHR CAL screen

   Navigate to the EHR CAL (Calibration) screen.

   Initiate calibration

   Follow the on-screen prompts to initiate the calibration. The system will automatically stroke the valves to determine the high and low stops and measure the solenoid valve currents.

   Retry calibration if failed

   If the calibration fails the first time, stroke the loader joystick back and forth for a while to clear the spools, then attempt the calibration again.

   Clear fault code

   Once calibration is complete, clear the stored 0B.00.23 fault code from the system.

   Replace faulty components if calibration repeatedly fails

   If the valve repeatedly fails to calibrate, the spool position sensor or the valve solenoids may be internally faulty and require replacement.
