   Verify the tractor's battery voltage (12.6V resting, 13.5V to 14.5V running) to rule out low system voltage triggering false codes.

   Inspect the wiring harness running from the loader selector switch in the cab to the main harness for frayed wires, rodent damage, burns, or loose connections.

   Check the electrical connector at the back of the loader selector switch for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out pins.

   Test the voltage output directly from the loader selector switch using a multimeter and the tractor's wiring diagram to verify correct signal transmission.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent short circuits during repair.

   Access the Switch

   Carefully remove the interior cab trim or console panel housing the loader selector switch.

   Disconnect the Harness

   Unplug the wiring harness connector from the back of the switch. If the connector is corroded, clean it and apply dielectric grease.

   If the switch failed the multimeter test, pop the old switch out of its mounting bezel and snap the new replacement switch into place.

   Reconnect the wiring harness to the new switch and reinstall the cab trim panels.
