Massey Ferguson 0B.01.01 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The control module detects a break in the electrical circuit (no continuity) to the solenoid responsible for actuating the mid-mount loader valve, which typically means a wire is broken, a connector is unplugged, or the internal copper winding of the solenoid coil has burned out and broken.

   Inspect the wiring harness running from the Mid Mount Valve Module to the loader valve block for chafed wires, rodent damage, or disconnected plugs

   Unplug the connector at the affected mid-mount electro valve solenoid and check for pushed-out pins, heavy corrosion, or moisture ingress

   Measure the resistance (Ohms) across the two pins of the solenoid coil using a digital multimeter. An 'OL' (Open Loop) or infinite resistance reading indicates the internal coil is broken

   Verify that the loader selector switch in the cab is sending the correct voltage to the module/solenoid

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate the mid-mount loader valve block (typically mounted on the right side of the tractor under the cab or along the loader subframe).

   Disconnect the electrical wiring harness plug from the faulty electro valve solenoid.

   Remove the retaining nut or cap at the end of the solenoid valve stem.

   Slide the faulty solenoid coil off the valve cartridge stem.

   Note: You usually do not need to open the hydraulic system or remove the valve cartridge itself, which prevents fluid loss.

   Slide the new replacement solenoid coil onto the stem.

   Reinstall and tighten the retaining nut.

   Reconnect the electrical harness plug securely.

   Reconnect the battery.

    Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool (or the dash interface) to clear the 0B.01.01 fault code.

    Start the tractor and test the loader joystick functions to ensure proper operation.
