Massey Ferguson 0B.01.11 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Low Amp Draw

The control system is detecting less electrical current (amperage) than expected on the circuit that operates the mid-mount loader valve solenoid. A "low amp draw" typically points to high electrical resistance in the circuit, a loose or corroded connection, damaged wiring, or an internally failing (open) solenoid coil.

   Inspect the wiring harness between the Mid Mount Valve Module and the loader electro valve for any signs of damage, chafing, or breaks

   Inspect the electrical connector at the hydraulic valve for connection problems, loose pins, or corrosion

   Inspect the wiring for proper ground, continuity, and proper voltage

   Measure the resistance of the solenoid coil. If the coil shows an open circuit or unusually high resistance, the solenoid itself is the cause of the low amp draw

   Preparation

   Turn off the tractor and relieve hydraulic pressure from the loader circuit.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the mid-mount electro valve block assembly on the tractor.

   Wiring Repair (If Applicable)

   If the diagnostic checks revealed faulty wiring, repair or replace the damaged sections of the wiring harness.

   Solenoid Replacement

   If the wiring is intact but the solenoid failed the resistance test, disconnect the electrical harness from the faulty solenoid.

   Remove Coil

   Remove the retaining nut/fastener holding the solenoid coil to the valve stem and slide the old coil off.

   Install Coil

   Install the new solenoid coil onto the valve and secure it.

   Reconnect Harness

   Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Clear Codes

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool or interface device to clear the DTCs from the system.

   Test

   Operate the loader to ensure normal function and verify that the fault code does not return.
